Initial Kick Off Peer Learning Conference, November 2 - 3, 2006
Jobs to Careers held its first peer learning meeting in Washington, D.C., bringing together grantees, funders, evaluators, and technical assistance providers to launch the three-year initiative. The meeting reviewed the goals of the initiative, the roles of technical assistance providers, evaluators, and the National Program Office.
Second Peer Learning Conference for Round 1 Grantees - Work-Based Learning, May 3 - 4, 2007
As part of an ongoing effort to facilitate learning and collaboration across the Jobs to Careers sites, we convened a second peer learning meeting in Redondo Beach, CA. The meeting presented an opportunity for the nine grantee sites to explore concrete methods of how to accomplish Work-Based Learning and develop a shared understanding of the concept for Work-Based Learning.
Orientation for Round 2 Grantees, January 30, 2008
The National Program Office held a one-day orientation for the Round 2 grantees in Dallas to develop a clear understading and shared vision of Jobs to Careers.

Career Ladders, February 27, 2007
In February, Jobs to Careers hosted the second peer learning meeting via Webinar through Genesys Conferencing. The Baltimore Alliance for Careers in Healthcare (BACH), one of our nine sites awarded a Jobs to Careers grant, presented its Career Ladder project to the group. BACH is changing its internal career paths, training design, and institutional systems to meet the needs of frontline health care workers for greater career advancement opportunities, and it solves an employer challenge of high turnover, job vacancies, and a limited pool of qualified staff.
